Oh hi, I’m Jemma 😊 A strength and Olympic Weightlifting coach and personal trainer based in Gympie, Queensland. I found fitness in 2011 and quickly discovered how empowering getting stronger could be. I wasn’t the sporty kid growing up, which is a big part of why I love helping other women realise they don’t have to fit the traditional idea of an “athlete” to get strong, train hard and find something they love.
I’ve been coaching since 2013, starting with CrossFit, and became Head Coach of Stay True Weightlifting Club in 2019. Over the past 14 years I’ve coached complete beginners, CrossFitters, NDIS participants, recreational lifters, youth and masters athletes, and competitive weightlifters, from learning their first lifts through to stepping onto the competition platform.

These days, my focus is on getting more women under a barbell. Whether you’re brand new to training, looking to build strength and confidence, or want to take Olympic Weightlifting more seriously, I want to help you become stronger, more capable and more confident without forcing you to fit into a fitness system that doesn’t fit your life.

When I’m not in the gym, you’ll usually find me hanging out with Cam 🥸, Charlie 🐶 and Catman 🐱 or I might be making something out of clay, playing piano or baking sourdough. I’m also a big fan of drinking coffee, good food, heavy music, video games and reading.
